This is our plotting post for our Charm School Finale event!

After working hard, students have a chance to show everything they've learned in a series of tests which ultimately ends in a party followed by a safe, calm carriage back to Andovale.

DRESS RUN

Morning

Morning starts off with a bang as everyone is expected to pass some impossible finals! Create a dress from scratch? Hunt a creature without harming it? Go on the perfect date? Not even the best and the brightest have a chance at passing all of these!

It's too bad that they have to try anyway.

After all tests are completed, everyone has a few hours to get themselves ready and shuffle off to the graduation ceremony. Retainers are noticeably reserved during this time, and they encourage their charges to help one another dress rather than rely on them.

Evening

Here, the real tests begin. It seems like everyone in their mother has a problem that only your character can solve! Unlike the finals of this morning, the scenarios here are actually doable. Using what they've learned in class, can this lot finally make a good impression on the ton?

Evening

At the ceremony itself, a letter from Lady Pheme comes in to announce the best students in school. She also takes this time to announce the Diamond of the month, and she makes mention of her upcoming dress-making tourney, which anyone is eligible to join. Winner is getting a trip back home, from the sounds of it, so you better roll up your sleeves and bust out the sewing needles.

Afterwards, characters walk the stage and have the opportunity to give a speech.

Night

After everything is said and done, it looks as if Lady Pheme wants everyone to celebrate their victory! Everyone has graduated, after all! There are drinks and snacks aplenty, many of which alter the character's mood in some way. There's also a chance for a character to witness a shooting star. Should this happen, rather than their wish being sent out into the cosmos, it gets beamed into some poor soul's head. Go get your wish back!

Early Saturday Morning

All that partying must come to an end, and the carriages roll up to cart you all back to Andovale before the sun's first light. Unlike before, this ride is smooth, and soft, and sweet, and toasty. It's perfect for taking a nap.

The sky is dark and dotted with lightning bugs. Should a character catch one, they'll feel themselves glow. Their riding partner will feel a similar glow on the same part of their body, and the two will feel best when their glowing spots are connected.

Which finals can/should my character be taking?
Ideally, characters would be taking the finals for the classes assigned to them. But, with so many people cutting class and swapping schedules, a teacher might not be too surprised to find someone who isn't on their roster turning up on the last day.

What happens if my character fails?
Realistically, most characters are going to fail. These tests are unreal. But! Lady Pheme swoops in at the eleventh hour and saves the day, so there's no reason to worry. If characters want to beat themselves up over a bad grade, that's on them. Someone should tell them that this isn't going on their permanent record.

Will the Mark of the Beast still be in place at this point?
Up to you! If you want your character to fail exponentially hard because they've been turned into a mouse for their horny crimes and their paws are too small to wield a sword, that's fine with us. By the time the actual ceremony starts, however, they'll be back to normal.

The OOC announcement said that gender differences would be abolished. Why is my character still being asked to take gendered classes?
Yes, well, we still wanted to have an in-game tie in for the reasons the world has changed so things would make sense for characters. We know that things have switched up, but we still need to let characters in on the shift. This finale picks up where our Event II post left off, so we figured it would make sense for graduation to be the place for Pheme to announce her new changes.

In short, things begin as they were before, but by the third prompt, everything is a genderless smorgasbord and will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

Who can give a graduation speech? Why would they want to?
Anyone can, but nobody has to! If your character wants to take a moment to say fuck the rules, they can do that. They might get shoo'd off stage rather quickly, but the option is there. They could also give a sweet speech about the memories they've made... Additionally, if you want your character to get shoved into the limelight by a retainer or a teacher, that's also a way to go about it!

Threading Preferences: As usual, some GEN threads, but by now you guys should know that I'll switch it up. Also Prose or Brackets are both fine but I default to brackets

Planning: Well this is the perfect time to put up a thread for the Dickhaus Tree where the crew can gather for their last night at the academy. Will there be booze there? Of course! Will it be open to people who have gotten high CR with Caleb, Jester, Essek, Vash and Mollymauk? Of course!

Also because of the situation with Bren, he has made himself as absent as possible so people have only really seen him in classes. He's been locking himself up in his rooms because of course he his emotionally berating himself over everything that has happened and how he could not control it. That Mark of the Beast hit hard; anyone is welcome to attempt to draw him out a little bit as he will be a bit more melancholy than normal; be it at the graduation after party or such.

Needless to say he did not really pass any of his classes for the sheer fact that after what happened, he had just been tired and exhausted. He will probably want to congratulate Steve for what he considers a very sparkling show, you know-- he always knew that Steve Rogers had it in him. I am open of course to all ideas and such that you throw my way and I'll be hitting up a few as well, might be a little slow because I am also TDMing a second character tomorrow.

Threading Preferences: I want to start this off by saying that I really want to prioritize TDM stuff so please note that I may be slower responding to these and/or if you'd like to request a quick short thread that would be ideal, thank you!

Would prefer gen threads for this.

Planning: Steve's classes were: boxing, fencing, game hunting and health so lmk if you want to play out a final with him! Steve is very hard to knock out as a super soldier, but he would rather throw the fight than actually knock someone out, though if he knows your character is superpowered he'd be much more lax about pulling his punches. I'd prefer to handwave combat scenes.

And then I guess he might show up and make a speech...

But I like the idea of the snacks, and welcome any shared experiences due to the mood shifts, and/or if your character has a huge wish for the shooting star thing.

2. Getting dressed up is his favorite part because he loves fancy stuff and tends to overindulge. He can help you dress as well! He's worked at the circus, he knows how all of the things work!

3. He's getting DRUNK. Like, properly drunk, in late, late hours. He's too happy that they are finally leaving. And since it will be mixed in with that PUNCH, well, some kisses in the corners, behind the tapestries, on the balcony, in rose bushes?

Threading Preferences: Honestly if anyone could drag Gin into properly participating in anything that isn't food and drink related please do. Otherwise he's gonna sort of wallflower, when he's not making a complete mess of things.

Planning: Eating and drinking a LOT. Probably pissing and moaning a lot about how stupid everything is and how it turns out it was all pointless anyway bc Pheme decided she got bored of it etc. He might try to crash the party somehow and fail. And, yes, he will take the podium to try to say something improper. I just have to decide what.

Additional: He hasn't been in his yukata FOREVER and this is TORTURE he can't believe he's being made to dress up so much. How long do you think a protagonist can be without his silhouette, Pheme?! You bet he's putting in minimal effort.

Threading Preferences: i'm always up for general threads of all kinds! sanji's no longer in virgin territory so smut threads aren't completely off the table but i prefer cr to naturally build towards it with chemistry in threads rather than planning it out (unless they've done it together already, in which case, hell yeah let's go). he's especially open to women, and is gradually opening up to the possibility of men (who aren't zoro).

Planning: i'm probably going to generally keep it light while still working on class threads and jumping into tdm things but i'd primarily love to thread things out during the reprise part of graduation. shenanigans with the food would be especially entertaining. sanji doesn't need a blueberry muffin to spread love to the ladies, but having others feel the love towards him would be a nice twist. it'd also be nice to use graduation cake as a way to ease into cr and start up some emotional bonding (my favorite). but would especially loud to play up thing with the punch for getting nice and cozy with new and established cr alike.

i'd love to do some star wishes too! sanji would have different options: (1) i want to find the all blue, (2) i want to return to the thousand sunny (3) i want to see nami-san and robin-chan again, (4) i want the jiji to be proud of me, or something else!

Inezia will be making a dress to join the contest. She thinks it doesn't hurt because she likes her new skills. She hasn't failed any classes but also hasn't distinguished herself.

I plan for her to have a hard time during the finals.

During the Final Run she can impress someone by serving them the perfect cup of tea. She also can be someone's walking date and perform like a proper lady.

During Reprise I want Inezia to feel a bit flirty. Want to meet her when she's not holding herself back? Here is the time. She might also be up for sneaking out and stealing a kiss or two with someone she has at least met or had the right level of conversation with here.

Departure I want a cuddle fest. Many fireflies land and Inezia finds herself snuggled up to whoever she is traveling with. Whatever else happens? Pitch me your thoughts.

Threading Preferences: Zoro is pretty full-up on shipping and smut, but Chris and Gideon have their legs spread WIDE OPEN. Particularly Chris, but also no Gideon's in her slut era as well. I want more threads for all of them!!! Gen, shippy, smutty, all of the above??
